We do not consider knots a flaw or defect in the sign. Knots and wood grain will vary from piece to piece, but adds to the beauty and originality of the sign. It simply shows the natural characteristics within the wood. We finish our signs with an indoor/outdoor sealer but do not recommend placing outdoors in the direct elements.
